电池在充放电过程中产生的热量主要是由电池的内部阻抗引起。表征在不同的工作温度下充放电过程的发热量对于电池包或模组的有效热管理至关重要。

等温量热仪比绝热量热仪具有更高的灵敏度。但它们的温度范围有限，对于可能导致电池分解的高温热滥用测试不适合。
